Day 1 box office receipts for Fateh: Sonu Sood's first directing effort brings in ₹2.45 cr

With the new action entertainer Fateh, actor Sonu Sood takes on the role of director. According to Sacnilk, the movie, which also starred Jacqueline Fernandez, made ₹2.45 crore when it opened on Friday.

S Shankar's Telugu tentpole Game Changer, which starred Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, was a much more formidable action entertainer than Fateh. In contrast, Game Changer, which was dubbed into Hindi, made ₹7 crore on its first day of release. Game Changer made ₹51.25 crore at the box office on Friday in all five languages (Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam). Thanks to the weekend, Fateh's box office receipts should increase on Saturday; however, Game Changer will still be a fierce rival.

Sonu had previously stated in a social media video, "Many people who came to me for assistance in 2020, when we were hit by COVID, were victims of cybercrime." They had money taken out of their accounts and were dealing with fraud. I wanted to share the story of the average person because this struck a deep chord with me.

"Fateh is a film made for the common man, and I wanted it to reach everyone in the most accessible way across India. That’s why we’ve decided to price tickets at just ₹99 for the first day. Additionally, I will be donating the entire profit from the film to charity as my way of giving back to people,” he added.

Fateh is "a gripping tale of courage, resilience, and the fight against cybercrime," according to its synopsis. It is predicated on actual cases of cybercrime that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sonu will appear on screen alongside Jacqueline, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah in Fateh, which is produced by Shakti Sagar Productions and Zee Studios. For this movie, some of Hollywood's biggest names have been brought in, such as the research team, action choreographers, and the director of photography.
