New Zealand has entered the Champions Trophy final, where it will face the Indian team on March 9 at the Dubai ground. On Wednesday, New Zealand defeated South Africa by 50 runs in the second semi-final in Lahore.

Chasing the target of 363 runs, the African team could only score 312 runs for 9 wickets. Captain Mitchell Santner took 3 wickets. Matt Henry and Glenn Phillips got 2-2 wickets. Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santner got one wicket each. David Miller scored a century from South Africa. He scored a century in 67 balls. Captain Temba Bavuma (56 runs) and Rassie van der Dussen (69 runs) scored half-centuries.

For the Kiwis, Rachin Ravindra (108 runs) and Kane Williamson (102 runs) scored centuries, while Daryl Mitchell (49 runs) and Glenn Phillips (49 runs) missed out on scoring a fifty. Lungi Ngidi took 3 wickets. Rabada got 2 wickets. Wayne Mulder got one wicket.

After winning the toss and batting first, New Zealand opener Rachin Ravindra scored a century. He played an innings of 108 runs and also shared a 164-run partnership for the second wicket with Kane Williamson. Then in bowling, he took the big wicket of Aiden Markram by giving away just 20 runs.
