HPBOSE LDR Test 2026: 97 Applications Cancelled Over Fee Issue
HPBOSE cancels 97 LDR test applications for non-payment of fees. Check full details on exam date, eligibility, remaining posts, and latest updates from Himachal Pradesh Board.
HPBOSE (PC- Social Media)
The Himachal Pradesh School Education Board has cancelled 97 applications for the LDR test because candidates did not pay the required exam fee. The written test is scheduled for 22 February 2026. Only those who submitted the full fee of Rs. 3,000 are now eligible to appear. The board has uploaded the rejected list on its official website.
This decision was taken after checking all online forms. A total of 1,534 candidates had applied. Out of these, 1,437 applications were found correct. The rest were removed mainly due to non-payment of fees. The board made it clear earlier that without fee, the form would not be accepted. Still, some missed it.
What Is the LDR Test All About
The LDR exam stands for Limited Direct Recruitment. It is meant only for SMC teachers working in the Himachal Pradesh Education Department. These posts are not open to the general public. Teachers must have completed at least five years of service. They should also be appointed under the SMC policy dated 17 July 2012.
The board had invited online applications between 23 December and 15 January. Candidates were told clearly to pay Rs. 3,000 as examination fees. The test will now go ahead as planned on 22 February.
Post-Wise Applications After Rejection
After removing 97 forms, here is how many valid applications remain for each subject.
Arts has 296 candidates. Drawing Master has 247. Hindi stands at 343. JBT has 60 applicants. Medical has 112. Non-Medical shows 102. Sanskrit has 277 candidates.
These numbers show strong competition in Hindi and Sanskrit. JBT has the lowest count, which might slightly improve chances for those appearing.
Official Statement From The Board
The Secretary of the board confirmed that only fee-paid applications were accepted. He also mentioned that transparency is being maintained. The rejected candidates list is already available online. This move avoids confusion later during admit card release.
The board is strict this year. It wants zero mistakes in documentation. Candidates are advised to double-check instructions next time. Missing small details can cost big opportunities, and that hurts later.
What Candidates Should Do Now
If your name is in the accepted list, focus on preparation. The exam date is near. Revise your subject well. Keep checking the official website for admit card updates. Carry proper ID proof on exam day.
Those whose forms got rejected cannot appear this time. There is no second window for fee payment. It feels harsh, but rules were shared clearly before.
Final Thoughts
The cancellation of 97 LDR applications by HPBOSE is a reminder that deadlines matter. A small delay in paying Rs. 3,000 has led to disqualification. With 1,437 candidates now in the race, competition remains tight. If you are appearing on 22 February, prepare seriously and avoid last-minute errors. Opportunities like this do not come every year, and once missed, they are gone.
