There are no CBSE Class 10 or Class 12 board exams today, March 3, 2026. The papers scheduled for today have been postponed due to administrative reasons. Class 10 exams will now be held on March 11, while the Class 12 Legal Studies paper will take place on April 10. The board has already issued a revised schedule.
Why No Exam On March 3?
The Central Board of Secondary Education had earlier informed schools that the March 3 exams would not be conducted. The reason given was administrative issues. No further detail was shared, but the board acted early and released a fresh date sheet.
For students who woke up stressed today, this came as both shock and relief. Some were fully prepared. Others maybe needed extra time. Now, everyone gets a few more days.
New Dates You Must Know
Class 10 exams that were planned for March 3 will now be conducted on March 11, 2026. These include several regional and foreign languages such as Tibetan, Bhoti, Bhutia, Bodo, Tangkhul, Mizo, Kashmiri, German, Japanese, Spanish and Bahasa Melayu.
Along with languages, subjects like NCC and Elements of Book Keeping and Accountancy are also shifted to March 11.
For Class 12 students, the Legal Studies exam has been rescheduled to April 10, 2026.
All other exam dates remain the same. Only these specific papers have changed.
Official Confirmation From CBSE
In a circular dated December 29, 2025, Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, informed principals about the revised schedule. Schools have been told to inform students and parents immediately.
The board also confirmed that the revised dates will be updated in admit cards. Schools must adjust their internal date sheets accordingly.
So if you are confused, check your updated admit card once again. That will show the correct date.
How Students Are Reacting
Many students feel mixed emotions. Some say the extra days will help in revision. Others worry about exam pressure stretching longer.
Class 10 board exams will now conclude on March 10, except the postponed paper on March 11. Class 12 exams are scheduled to end on April 10.
This year, Class 10 students are appearing for 83 subjects. Class 12 students are appearing for 120 subjects. That itself shows how big the board process is.
One small change affects lakhs of students.
What You Should Do Now
Do not panic. Recheck the updated schedule. Focus on revision calmly. If your subject shifted to March 11 or April 10, use these extra days wisely.
Sometimes unexpected changes feel stressful. But they also give time. And time in board exams, is never a bad thing.
Stay updated through official CBSE notices only. Avoid rumors. And yes, breathe a little today. No exam means one extra morning without that early rush.
