If you are looking for a government job in the medical field then this is a golden opportunity for you. Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced to start the application process for recruitment to bumper posts of Medical Officer.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 25 March 2025 through the official website of OPSC opsc.gov.in. The last date of application has been fixed as 25 April 2025.

A total of 5248 posts will be filled in the state through this recruitment campaign. Under the campaign, 411 posts of unreserved category, 736 posts of SEBC, 1620 posts of Scheduled Caste (SC) and 2481 posts of Scheduled Tribe (ST) will be filled.

Candidates applying for these posts should have MBBS or equivalent degree, which is obtained from a recognized medical college or institute and which is recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Talking about the age limit, the age of the candidate should be between 21 to 32 years as on 1 January 2025.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination. The date of examination has been fixed as 11 May 2025, which will be held in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. The exam will have a paper of total 200 marks, which will have 200 objective questions (MCQs). Each question will be of one mark. The exam duration will be of 3 hours and negative marking will also be applicable for wrong answers. To apply, first go to OPSC website opsc.gov.in. Click on the Apply Online link on the homepage.
