Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde was admitted to the Medical ICU at Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur after his health suddenly worsened during a routine check-up. Doctors said he developed anxiety and fever while undergoing tests, after which he was shifted to the ICU for close monitoring. Medical teams later confirmed he is suffering from a urinary tract infection along with minor kidney issues and is currently under treatment.
What Happened During the Hospital Visit
The Governor had gone to Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur around afternoon for a normal health check-up. Nothing unusual at first, just routine tests like blood examination and general medical evaluation.
But during the check-up something felt off. Doctors noticed he appeared anxious and soon after he developed fever symptoms. The medical staff decided not to take any risk. He was quickly shifted to Medical ICU-2 so doctors could observe him more closely.
Sometimes routine hospital visits turns serious in minutes. That is what happened here, though doctors say the situation is under control.
Doctors Explain the Health Issue
According to hospital doctors, Governor Bagde is dealing with a urinary tract infection. Along with that there are some minor kidney-related complications as well.
Such infections are quite common actually, but in elderly patients doctors prefer very careful monitoring. That is why he was admitted to the ICU instead of being treated as an outpatient.
Fresh blood and urine samples were collected immediately. These tests will help doctors understand the infection better and decide the exact course of treatment.
Right now, the medical team says his condition is stable. Still, they want continuous observation.
Special Medical Team Monitoring Him
A specialised medical team has been formed to treat the Governor. Doctors from multiple departments are involved in his care.
Experts from General Medicine, Nephrology, and Urology are directly supervising the treatment. These departments deal with infections, kidney health, and urinary system problems.
To make things even more organised, the hospital administration created a medical board consisting of nine senior doctors. The board includes specialists from several fields such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, Microbiology and other medical branches.
When high constitutional authorities fall ill, hospitals usually arrange such large medical teams. It ensures every aspect of health is carefully checked.
Senior Leaders Rush to Hospital
As soon as news of the Governor’s hospitalisation spread, several political leaders reached SMS Hospital.
Rajasthan Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar visited the hospital to review the medical arrangements. Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa also came to inquire about the Governor’s health condition.
Later, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma arrived at the hospital as well. He spoke with doctors and asked about the treatment progress. The Chief Minister also wished the Governor a quick recovery.
Moments like these show how closely government leadership watches the health of constitutional authorities.
Speaker Devnani Visits After Event
Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani also went to SMS Hospital to meet the Governor.
Interestingly, the Governor was originally scheduled to attend Devnani’s book launch ceremony on the same day. Because of the sudden health issue, he could not attend the event.
After finishing the book launch program, Devnani went directly to the hospital. He met the Governor and wished him good health and a speedy recovery.
Sometimes events change suddenly, and health always comes first.
Why Doctors Are Being Extra Careful
Urinary tract infections may sound minor, but doctors prefer careful monitoring when the patient holds an important constitutional position or is of advanced age.
Kidney related symptoms, even mild ones, require close observation. If treated early, most infections respond well to medicines.
The ICU admission in this case is mainly precautionary. Doctors want constant monitoring, quick tests, and immediate treatment if needed.
This approach reduces any risk.
Current Situation and Recovery Outlook
Hospital sources say Governor Bagde is receiving proper medical care and doctors are hopeful about his recovery. His condition is being tracked regularly by the medical board.
Further reports will depend on laboratory test results. Once the infection is controlled and doctors feel comfortable, he may be shifted out of the ICU.
For now, the focus is simple. Rest, treatment, and careful observation.
Everyone from government leaders to hospital staff is hoping the Governor returns to normal health soon.
