Bihar Elections: “Checkmate –Through the Lens of the Stars; NDA Government, Nitish as Chief Minister
An astrological analysis of the 2025 Bihar elections by astrologer Devendra Bhatt (Guru Ji), predicting an NDA victory and Nitish Kumar’s return as Chief Minister, with planetary insights into Tejashwi Yadav, Chirag Paswan, and others.
Bihar Elections (PC- Social Media)
Usually, election results are analyzed through the lens of the media. But in truth, it is the voters who, through their ballots, determine the destiny of candidates for the next five years. Hence, the element of fate—as influenced by the planets—becomes equally important in interpreting electoral outcomes. Planets shape fortune, and astrology interprets these planetary movements.
With this in mind, Newstrack invited renowned astrologer Devendra Bhatt (Guru Ji)—whose predictions for Delhi, Uttar Pradesh Assembly, and previous Lok Sabha elections proved accurate—to analyze the Bihar elections astrologically, based on the horoscopes of the state and its leading political figures.
Bihar’s Horoscope and Celestial Constitution
According to Devendra Bhatt (Guru Ji), Bihar was originally established on 22 March 1912 by the British, when it was separated from the Bengal Presidency and combined with Odisha as a province. Later, in 1936, Odisha was carved out, leaving Bihar as an independent state. The third division occurred on 15 November 2000, when its southern region became the new state of Jharkhand, and only the northern portion remained Bihar.
From an astrological perspective, Bihar has Gemini (Mithun Rashi) as its zodiac sign and Leo (Singh Lagna) as its ascendant. In its horoscope, Saturn (Shani) is retrograde, and Jupiter (Guru) is Vargottama in the 10th house within Taurus (Vrishabh). The Moon (Chandra) and Rahu are positioned in the 11th house, while Budh-Aditya Yoga (a powerful Mercury-Sun conjunction) is present in the 3rd house.
The intense political activity witnessed over the past ten months in Bihar was due to the Mahadasha of Jupiter and the Antardasha of Ketu, which concluded in October 2025. As per Guru Ji’s astrological reading, under the Mahadasha of Jupiter and Antardasha of Venus, Bihar is poised to witness the formation of a majority government.
The Leading Stars of Bihar Politics
The key personalities in this election include:
-
Nitish Kumar, the current Chief Minister and the face of the NDA alliance
-
Tejashwi Yadav, representing the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance)
-
Prashant Kishor, participating as an independent strategist and player
-
Chirag Paswan, a prominent leader of the Dusadh (Paswan) community
Guru Ji examined their astrological charts to understand what the stars foretell for each.
Tejashwi Yadav: Bright Future, But Not Yet a Crown
Tejashwi Yadav was born under Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra, with Aquarius (Kumbh Rashi) and Aquarius Ascendant (Kumbh Lagna). Presently, he is under the Mahadasha of Mercury (Budh) and the Antardasha of Rahu. His Moon is alone in a Kendra (central house) and situated in a fixed sign, indicating strength and stability.
Guru Ji predicts that Tejashwi’s political future is bright, but the current planetary positions are not conducive for attaining power right now. Under his leadership, the Mahagathbandhan is likely to secure around 100 seats, remaining short of the majority mark.
Chirag Paswan: Moderate Gains, Rising Presence
Chirag Paswan belongs to Pisces (Meen Rashi) with an Aquarius Ascendant (Kumbh Lagna). His Ascendant Lord Saturn (Shani), though Vargottama and combust, is positioned in the 10th house along with Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, and Venus—a combination that enhances leadership potential but adds emotional volatility.
His Moon, being Vargottama, occupies the 3rd house of courage and aspects the 9th house of destiny fully. Currently, he is running the Mahadasha of the Moon, a phase of prominence and public visibility. Guru Ji predicts that Chirag will be successful in about 60% of the constituencies he contests, marking a significant step in his political journey.
Nitish Kumar: The Master Strategist Reigns Again
Nitish Kumar’s chart is marked by Scorpio (Vrishchik Rashi) and Gemini Ascendant (Mithun Lagna). The conjunction of Mars (Mangal) and Venus (Shukra) in his 10th house of karma has made him a mastermind of coalition politics—a leader who thrives amidst political complexity.
Currently, he is under the Mahadasha of Rahu and Antardasha of Venus, which is nearing its end. These waning planetary phases still provide him the fruits of power, ensuring that Nitish will once again occupy the Chief Minister’s chair.
Guru Ji adds that within the NDA, Nitish Kumar’s seat tally will be almost equal to that of the BJP, enabling the alliance to cross the majority mark and form the government.
However, a note of caution follows: as the Sun’s Antardasha begins in Nitish’s chart in the coming months, he may feel discomfort working within the same alliance, hinting at potential turbulence ahead.
Stars Align for NDA and Nitish
For now, the celestial alignments clearly favor the NDA and Nitish Kumar. The planetary movements suggest a stable government formation under his leadership. Yet, as the stars shift and new Antardashas arise, Bihar’s political landscape may witness fresh equations.
As Guru Ji emphasizes, “The future always depends on the stars and their transits—but for now, the cosmic script writes Nitish Kumar as the Chief Minister once again.”
