Modi heaps praise on RSS

In his first visit to the RSS headquarters at Nagpur on Sunday, prime minister Narendra Modi heaped praise on Sangh as he paid tribute to it's founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and Sarsanghchalak Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar.

This was Modi's first visit to the Sangh headquarters as Prime Minister. Earlier in July 2013, he had come to Nagpur to attend a meeting in connection with the Lok Sabha elections. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the extension building of the Madhav Netralaya of the Sangh.

In a 34-minute speech, Prime Minister Modi discussed the history of the country, the Bhakti movement, the role of saints in it, the selfless working system of the Sangh, the development of the country, religion-culture among the youth, expansion of health services, education, language and Prayagraj Mahakumbh.

Praising the Sangh, he said - the idea for national consciousness that was sown 100 years ago in the form of the Sangh, is today in front of the world in the form of a great banyan tree. This is continuously energizing Indian culture and national consciousness. For a volunteer, service is life. We are moving forward with the mantra of 'Dev se Desh, Ram se Rashtra'.

5 important points of his speech

1. Independence of India

PM Modi said that if we look at the history of India, there were many attacks in it. Despite so many attacks, the consciousness of India never ended, its flame kept burning. Even in the most difficult times, new social movements kept happening to keep this consciousness alive. The Bhakti movement is an excellent example of this.

In that difficult period of the medieval period, our saints gave new energy to the national consciousness with the ideas of devotion. Great saints like Guru Nanak Dev, Kabirdas, Tulsidas, Surdas, Sant Tukaram, Sant Ramdev, Sant Dnyaneshwar breathed life into the society with their original ideas. They broke the shackles of discrimination and tied the society in the thread of unity.

2. Praise of the Sangh

From Swami Vivekananda to Doctor Saheb, no one allowed the national consciousness to die out. The idea of national consciousness, whose seed was sown 100 years ago, stands today as a great banyan tree. Principles and ideals give height to this banyan tree, while millions of volunteers are working as its branches. The Sangh is the modern Akshay Vat of India's immortal culture, which is constantly providing energy to Indian culture and national consciousness.

PM Modi said that our body is only for charity and service. When service becomes sanskar, it becomes sadhana. This sadhana is the life breath of every volunteer. This service sanskar, this sadhana, this life breath, inspires every volunteer for penance and austerity, generation after generation. It neither lets him get tired nor stops.

3. Self-confident youth connected to religion

PM Modi said that India's biggest asset is our youth. The youth of the country is full of confidence. His risk-taking capacity has increased manifold than before. He is innovating, flying the flag in the world of startups. He is moving forward proud of his heritage and culture.

In Maha Kumbh, we saw that millions of young generation reached and were filled with pride by connecting with the Sanatan tradition. The youth of India is working keeping in mind the needs of the country today. These youth are holding the flag of developed India of 2047. I am confident that the triveni of organization, dedication and service will continue to give energy and direction to the journey of developed India.

4. India is now the centre of helping

PM Modi said in his speech that the mantra of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' is resonating in every corner of the world today. When a pandemic like Covid comes, India considers the world as a family and provides vaccines. Wherever there is a natural disaster anywhere in the world, India is ready to serve.

When there was an earthquake in Myanmar, India immediately reached for help under Operation

Brahma. Whether it was an earthquake in Nepal or a water crisis in Maldives, India did not delay even for a moment in providing help. Even in the event of war, India brings back citizens of other countries safely. India is now also becoming the voice of the Global South. This feeling of brotherhood and service in the world is an extension of our values.

5. Progress of the health sector

PM Modi said that providing better health facilities to all the citizens of the country is our priority. Even the poorest of the poor should get the best treatment, no citizen of the country should be deprived of the dignity of living. The elderly who have dedicated their entire life for the country should not worry about treatment, they should not have to live in such circumstances. This is the policy of the government.

That is why crores of people are getting free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Thousands of Jan Aushadhi Kendras are providing cheap medicines to the poor and middle class families. About one thousand dialysis centers are providing dialysis services for free, which is saving thousands of crores of rupees of the countrymen.

PM lays foundation stone of new building of Madhav Netralaya

The PM laid the foundation stone of the new extension building of Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre. This is a new extension of the Eye Institute and Research Centre, which was established in 2014 in memory of Golwalkar. The centre will have a 250-bed hospital, 14 out-patient departments (OPD), and 14 modern operation theatres.
