India A defeated Sri Lanka A by five wickets to enter the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 final, and the match had one clear hero. Captain Radha Yadav picked four wickets for 19 runs and later scored an unbeaten 31 to finish the chase. The win came at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok, and it looked comfortable by the end.

Sri Lanka A were bowled out for just 118 in 19.4 overs. India A chased the target in 13.3 overs. That tells you the story already.

Radha Yadav Leads From the Front

Radha Yadav delivered one of her best all-round performances in recent times. With the ball, she broke the backbone of Sri Lanka’s middle order. With the bat, she stayed calm when a few wickets fell.

Her bowling figures of 4-19 changed the game. She mixed pace, hit the right areas, and forced errors. Sri Lanka never recovered after losing set batters in the middle overs.

When India needed finishing touches, Radha stayed till the end. She struck the winning boundary and remained unbeaten. A captain’s knock, simple and solid.

Sri Lanka’s Bright Start Fades Fast

Sri Lanka A began well. Openers Hansima Karunaratne and Sanjana Kavindi scored quickly in the first four overs. The scoreboard moved fast. It felt like they might push beyond 140.

But once wickets started falling, pressure crept in. Sanjana built a short partnership with Sathya Sandeepani, yet it did not last long. After that, it was collapse. The middle order could not handle India’s spin attack.

Prema Rawat and Tanuja Kanwer supported Radha beautifully. Both picked up two wickets each. The fielding too looked sharp. Sri Lanka were bowled out under 120, which on that pitch was below par.

Vrinda’s Quickfire Knock Seals Control

Chasing 118 should be easy, but semi-finals carry nerves. India began steady, not reckless. Nandini Kashyap fell after scoring 13, and there was a small pause in momentum.

Then Dinesh Vrinda exploded. Her 42 off just 20 balls changed the tone. She attacked the bowlers, found gaps, and cleared the infield with ease. The pressure flipped. Sri Lanka suddenly looked short of ideas.

Anushka Sharma, batting at number three, played a lively 27. She hit five crisp boundaries. Even after losing a couple of wickets, India were always ahead of the required rate.

Calm Finish and Eyes on the Trophy

With just 31 runs needed after ten overs, the result looked certain. Radha stayed composed. She rotated strike and punished loose balls. The winning four came smoothly, no drama at all.

India A now move to the final of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026. They will face the winner of the Pakistan versus Bangladesh semi-final, again in Bangkok.

This victory shows depth in India’s emerging women cricketers. Young players stepping up. Captain leading with example. Bowlers executing plans well enough.

For fans, it was satisfying cricket. Controlled bowling, fearless batting, and sharp captaincy decisions. If this form continues, the trophy is very much within reach.

Radha Yadav walked off smiling, and rightly so. Four wickets. Unbeaten runs. Final secured. That’s a good day at the office, you could say.
